How did writting Paper 1 make you feel?

 It was nice to take look back on the communities that built me. I feel like it went long and maybe incomplete. I feel like it didnt flow as well as it should have and I missed the Ka Piko lab and making the correct references. I could have organized better, plan it out more precisely. I do believe I told stories effectively about the communities thats made an impact on my life, how it makes me appreciate opportunities for growth and how communities can change over time. 

Week 1 Blog Post

I am very happy to see that in this class we are starting with Kaiaulu Gathering Tides by Mehana  Vaughan.  The context of chapter 1 is very much in line with my other classes I've taken, and am currently taking.  Some of the of words in this chapter are familiar to me, for example Ahapuaa, I took  IS201 which was my favorite and first in-person lass in community college so far. In that class we built  rock walls to loko ia at Waikaloa Fishpond, worked on the landscape at Hamakua Bird Sanctuary,  planted at Kakoo Oiwi.  We learn about Kilo, observing the surroundings, which surprised me that the  term isn't used to describe the "watching the tides" and "scanning the limu beds".   I was reminded of my dad when the story talked about "secret spot" and simply referring to it as  holoholo.  My dad was a fisherman.  Although he has passed, there is just one fishing story that was told by many. They'd say, he would take them out...
